Orlando Clay Fandango 2013

ORLANDO CLAY FANDANGO 2013 Come clay with us at the 8th annual Orlando Clay Fandango, May 2-6, 2013.  It will be held at beautiful Lake Yale, in Leesburg, Florida.  Our theme is Safari Adventure! You have the choice of two great options.  The first option is the All Inclusive Workshop, 4 days and 5 nights, lodging, meals, and workshops with three instructors.  Alice Stroppel will instruct us in building a unique clasp using canes in a pendant construction, and offer other hints to aid us in making a striking sun pendant. Suzanne Ivester will lead us in making two pomanders, with scent packets.  Syndee Holt will guide us to incorporate polymer clay on mixed media journals.  The second option is the Retreat Only Experience, where you can clay on your own in a relaxed atmosphere, in great company.  You will have the use of the Lake Yale campground.  You may attend or give demos.  You can learn Kumihimo. All participants may watch demos by Penni Jo Couch and Linda Hess, back by popular demand. You will be able to attend all Fandango events, including auctions, swaps, and Bottles of Hope contests. Explore the vendors’ shops, and purchase their wares.  Venture into the Boutique, if you dare, to buy or sell your own beautiful and exotic treasures. Surf & Turf Make a bracelet featuring faux materials from land and sea: Jade, Snowflake Jade, Opal, Limestone, Driftwood, Sea Glass Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, 2013 Instructor Randee Ketzel, co-author of an upcoming book about faux techniques in polymer clay, is coming to Pittsburgh from Austin, Texas for two exciting and creative days of fooling Mother Nature. We’ll create a bracelet with all the faux natural elements we create. The workshop will be held at Georgetown Clubhouse, Valley View Drive, Lawrence, PA 15055 Member fee $160; Non-member $175. Lunch can be purchased for $7.50 per day. Please contact Rebecca Watkins at berecca(at)aol(dot)com to reserve your place, receive instructions for payment and a supplies list. Registration deadline is April 19, 2013. Class is limited to 20 students. The deadline for the deposit ($100) is April 1, with the balance due by April 19. Cancellations before April 4 receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations between April 4-19 will receive 50% refund. After April 26, your registration fee will be refunded by 50% only if your space can be filled with another student.
