How to Use the Peer to Peer Forums

How to View the Forums

The IPCA Peer to Peer Forums are a member benefit and require members to log in to the website.

Once you have logged in, a Forums Menu appears in the sidebar. Click Forums Home.

Before You Begin

Please read the Rules of the Road and any Announcements that appear on the first page.

You can always look at all the announcements by clicking the microphone icon in the Search Bar.

How to Start a Topic

On the navigation bar, click the button labeled New Topic.

The New Topic window will open.

Enter or select the following information:

  • Category
  • Topic Title
  • The text of the topic

You can format your text using the toolbar above the edit text area. These are standard formatting controls like you would see in a word processing app. If you hover your cursor over one of the buttons, the tooltip shows you the button description.

If you want to get an email notification when a reply is posted, check the Subscribe box.

Click Submit to post your topic.

How to Add an Image

Once you have started your topic post, you can add an image to it.

All images should be reformatted for the web (72 or 96 dpi resolution). We recommend that images not exceed 800px in width.

  • Click the Add/Insert Image toolbar button.

The Image window will appear. Enter the URL of the image you want to add to your post.

NOTE: Images can be added from your website, Flickr, or other places on the web.

To get the URL of the image, right-click and select Copy Image Location. Paste this value in the field and click Save.

How to Insert a Link

Type the text you want to turn into a link, then click and drag to highlight it. For example: This is my link
